Our Story

SHAPESHIFTER exists because of a simple desire to shine a spotlight on the value of creative skillsets in the Corporate world.  In accordance with our background in Hospitality and the Performing Arts, we make the experience a priority.  Every artist has something unique to offer - a perspective, a strategy - and a unique compass pointed toward successful outcomes that accompanies the disruptive and abstract thinking required and so-desired in today’s job market.

This is where the clarity starts and the confidence builds.

is owned and operated by
Julie Brousseau.

Julie Brousseau spent 20 years studying and performing a variety of music and stage genres: opera, vocal jazz, musical theater. She spent 10 years following constantly translating the value of that skillset to leaders in multiple industries to make a living. It led to a very successful career in Events and Marketing where she is now an established leader of PEOPLE; her preferred privilege.

Julie quickly recognized a gap - or rather - a CRATER in the understanding and value of creative skillsets in the Corporate world. This is where Shapeshifter Creative comes in. Every artist and creative shapeshifts their way through a creative career - it builds parallels, resilience and the ability and agility to work with any person. while creating warm and collaborative environments.

Julie sees this offering as her responsibility. The skills are there - the VALUE is there; a lot of leaders and companies just need a little help adjusting their “lens” to identify them. The world has created the perfect environment for efficiency with AI and non-human systems, and now is the perfect time to hone in on the identification of the skills and the confidence that are needed as a counter-balance to those systems.

In our world, EVERYONE has an artist and a creative inside. This program is not just for someone who carries the title of artist on their business card. This program is for anyone who wants to do the digging for themselves or do the digging for others.

Julie and Shapeshifter Creative reside in Minneapolis, proudly, and offer both in-person consultation and coaching, as well as virtual programs.

All BIPOC, full-time artists and enrolled students receive an initial consultation free of cost, and qualify for a sliding pay scale.
